iKON is back in town again after their recent tour, this time to unveil the next galaxy of SAMSUNG with iKONICs and SAMSUNG fans on 21st February at the Resorts World Sentosa. 

The theatre was packed with 1,500 lucky iKONICs who won tickets to this private launch held by SAMSUNG. 

To celebrate the 10 years of galaxy, SAMSUNG has launched the next generation of mobile innovation, the new Galaxy S10 & S10+ with new features such as the 5 pro-grade cameras as well as the wireless power share. 

As the show officially kicked off, iKON opened with their hit song, Love Scenario, where fans scream and sing along enthusiastically to show their warm welcome for the South Korean Boyband. 

This year, SAMSUNG has signed an exclusive partnership with the famous game, Fortnite. If you preordered the new Galaxy S10+, you will be entitled to exclusive iconic outfits with a Love Scenario mode, as well as with Chanwoo, as one of the characters! The members even show off their dance skills through a iconic floss danced battle. Chanwoo even volunteered to dance to the Love Scenario mode from the game, with the rest of iKON & iKONICs singing for him, how sweet is that!

iKON talk about their favourite features and Jinhwan mentioned that the group loves to take selfie but being a 7 member group, it's hard to fit everyone in frame all the time but with the new ultra wide feature, it's not a problem anymore which becomes their favourite feature! They then proceed to take a selfie with their best pose with iKONICs which bring screams and laughter.

3 words to describe fans? Junhoe said that fans is “love”, while Jinhwan on the other hand said that fans is “siloso beach”, as he thinks that iKONICs is beautiful like siloso beach.

To wrap up the show, iKON performed Killing Me followed by Bling Bling as their encore songs where they interacted with fans enthusiastically. Even with their back to back schedules, iKON never fails to leave iKONICs with beautiful memories once again, with a few lucky fans took home special momentos and iKON's merchandise.

Park Minyoung and Kim Jongkook are in town for the Samsung Galaxy Exclusive Launch Fan Party held at Gardens by The Bay. 

Park Minyoung shared that her sister lives in Singapore so it feels familiar after visiting her a few times. She answered most questions mainly in English but later in Korean.

She has just completed the hit drama “What’s wrong with Secretary Kim” and shared that it’s her favourite character to date. She takes on the role of a serious and highly capable secretary, requires her to stay calm most of the time and she’s able to resonate with it the most. 

Park Minyoung also shared that her favourite feature on any phone would be the camera as she loves to take pictures especially while travelling and the Galaxy Note9 camera features are just perfect. Also, the phone has an off screen memo function so it’s really convenient as she can jot down things quickly.

Kim Jongkook has also been to Singapore several times and it feels good to always be warmly welcomed. He is currently preparing for a new album, as he wants to focus on singing now despite wanting to try everything from movies, drama to singing. He hopes to hold a concert to meet more fans. He wishes to collaborate with BTS the most in music but also with the talented young idols.

When you talk about the Sparta, it’s definitely about his well built body. He shared that he eats mostly everything but when he heads to the gym, he would be very strict and eats only chicken breast and salad. He even did squats on the spot to prove that working out can be done anywhere, just so simple!

Fun! Is the experience that Kim Jongkook described, filming with the “Mission:Impossible” cast and that he learnt a lot from Tom Cruise. He also wish to film Runningman again with his long time idol, Jackie Chan. He even gave a shoutout to the press for him to be back.

He also reveal that he can’t live without his phone as it is an essential to watch shows. When asked to choose between his phone or a work out and guess what, he obviously chose working out which made everyone crack into laughter.

H:Connect has invited the beloved South Korean singer actress, YoonA of Girls' Generation, to Singapore after her last visit 5 years ago with her members. She’s back this time to promote their new summer collection at Bugis Junction on 21 July, 2018.

Sones ( Girls' Generation fans) were really excited were really excited and filled with energy to meet YoonA after a long wait, and her cheery response to their enthusiasm of cheering. Many made their purchases prior to the event to be in line with YoonA’s fashion trend, and some lucky ones managed to meet their favourite artiste on stage as well. She picked out 3 outfits based on their individual style for 3 lucky fans, who had the opportunity to be Styled By YoonA, after which she went on to explain the concept of each of her choices. There was also an autograph session in which she participated with all smiles, initiating interactions including high-fives and interlocking fingers with some even luckier fans.

YoonA herself wore something simple and explained her concept for the day to be reflecting summer, as it is the constant season in Singapore. She chose an outfit that has vibrant colours and feels cooling for a hot summer day, like a sleeveless top. We all know that she loves to dress comfortably and look good in pants, however this time, she chose a skirt to show off a little of her feminine side, which was a perfect choice.

She then went on to expressed her happiness to be back here with the opportunity to meet all her fans, even mentioning that she hopes to be back with her “So_wonderful day #Story_1” fanmeet in Singapore. On top of that, she briefly shared her recent plans, being busy with her movie filming which just began, along with variety shows filming. Of course last but not least, her fanmeet tour is well underway, not forgetting to tell us to look forward future news. Talking about what she missed the most, it was definitely food. Given that she’s known for being the “shik shin” (God of Food) in her group, she mentioned that the No.1 food known for in Singapore is definitely our famous chilli crab. However, she has been showering the pepper crab with more love lately and even had it once she arrived in Singapore.

Lastly, the fans surprised YoonA with an event by holding pink balloons (the colour of Girls’ Generation fanclub) with the new Singapore ambassador printed on the balloon with words and also shouting “YoonA, we missed you” as a whole towards the end of the event, and to which she replied a “Me Too” with a wide smile. The H:Connect event then closed successfully with a group picture, with everyone alongside YoonA doing the H:Connect gesture, which was taught by her personally.

Kpop and Kdrama fans get your hearts ready to be fluttered. Korean heartthrob Kim Myung Soo, also known as L, is making his way to Singapore for his first solo event at “2017 KIM MYUNG SOO FAN MEETING IN SINGAPORE” on Saturday, 23 September 2017 at Resorts World Theatre, Resorts World Sentosa. EXID ASIA TOUR 2017

EXID was in Singapore on 15 July 2017 for their Asia Tour in Singapore. The hour-long press conference allowed us to know EXID better as they share with us their thoughts on different subjects. 

It has always been EXID's goal to meet lots of fans over the country, talking and connecting with them. They also want to comeback as a full unit together as this year. Leader Solji has been resting since she was diagnosed with hyperthyrodism in December last year. EXID addressed that Solji is recovering well. Hopefully we get to see them as a full group soon! 

EXID on-stage and off-stage, what is the difference? LE said that EXID is a little more serious on stage compared to off. Hani said that that EXID is sexier on stage. And if you watch EXID on variety shows, you'll definitely realised that they are a fun bunch off-stage.

At the fan meeting, EXID also showed us different sides of them and their charms. Each member displayed their versatility through their performance and interaction with their fans. They also showed us their drawing skills on Tshirts that were given to 4 lucky fans as a prize. 

The search is on for international talents to perform at the 2017 K-Pop World Festival in Changwon! With preliminary rounds being held in around 70 countries, this global competition is the ideal stage to showcase your talent in bid to represent Singapore in the upcoming stages of the competition. Shortlisted preliminary finalists can look forward to an ultimate chance to visit Korea to experience the Korean culture and have the chance to share the stage with some of the biggest names in Korean Pop Music industry like TWICE and BTS! 

Returning for the 4th year running, the KBS K-Pop World Festival (Singapore Preliminaries) is set to take centre stage as a stand alone event, at Our Tampines Hub on 5th August 2017, with Korean Idol Diva Ailee, making a special appearance both on stage and as part of the judging panel! 

Unlike in previous years, the competition is now open to all who work/study and reside in Singapore excluding tourist. Participants should also be of non-Korean descent and will be representing Singapore for this competition. 

Interested participants may compete under two categories - vocal and dance performance. As the competition intensifies, all performance groups will be required to lip-sync to their cover songs during their performances. The winners of the performance category are then required to submit a separate audio recording of their vocals for the international judging process. While there is no restriction on the number of members for performance groups, it is strongly recommended that they have the same number of members as the original K-Pop band that they are covering. 

Under the vocal category, there is no limit to the number of vocalists per act. However KBS reserves the right to remove any vocalist from the subsequent rounds if they are deemed to not be of significant contribution to the team. Vocal acts are now given the option to have up to 2 additional backup dancers to spice up their performance. 

Interested participants may register their interest via our official website from now till 6th July. 

Auditions will be held over two days from 8th-9th July. Thereafter, shortlisted applicants will be invited to battle it out live on stage at the Singapore Preliminary of the K-Pop World Festival 2017, where the top two acts (chosen from both Vocals and Performance categories combined) will move on to participate in the next round of online judging, representing Singapore in the competition against their international counterparts.

2017 KBS K-Pop World Festival in Changwon, Korea

There are two categories that applicants may choose to compete in - vocal and performance category. Winners of the Singapore preliminary will move forward to represent the country in the online judging process. Shortlisted finalists from the online judging process will be awarded a trip to Korea to perform at the 2017 KBS K-Pop World Festival in Changwon, Korea. 

General Requirements - This competition is open to all who work/study and reside in Singapore excluding Tourists. - Performers and parents of performers must not be of Korean nationality. - Performers below the age of 18 must seek parental consent before applying. - Choice of song must be Korean - All information provided in the registration form must be accurate at the point of submission - Any submission after the deadline of 29th June 2017 will not be considered. - Only participants selected for the Preliminary battle stage(August 5th) will be notified via email. - Participants should be free and available for audition (between 8th-9th July) and compete (on 5th August). 

Dance Performance Category - Choice of song is one full Korean song or max 2 Korean songs for remix - Maximum duration of performance should not exceed 3mins 30secs - There is no restriction on the number of members but groups are strongly recommended to match the number of members of the original groups that they are covering. KBS reserves the right to remove any dancer from the participating in the final round if the total number exceeds the number of members of the original K-Pop group. - Groups are required to lip-sync to their cover song for their performance. - The winning team will have their vocals recorded in a separate audio recording (AR) to be submitted to KBS as part of the selection process for 2017 KBS K-Pop World Festival in Changwon. - Judging Criteria ● Choreography (Composition & Uniformity) 40% ● Technique 30% ● Stage Charisma & Audience Reaction 30%
